Our guide Adrian was terrific- very knowledgeable and friendly. The wineries they took us to were fantastic. I’ve been on quite a few wine tours around the world and this one really stood out. Thanks for a great day.
I did a Yarra Valley Wildlife & Wine Daytour with Stephen. At Healsville Sanctuary, I had a tour with rangers and their explanation made the tour more fascinating and enjoyable. I saw koalas, kangaroos, dingos, and many other wildlife animals. After the tour, the lunch was excellent and the wine/cheese tasting was amazing as well. It was such a great tour.
Our guide Shane was phenominal in his location selections, his insight on what to expect at each winery, his knowledge of the region and history behind each winery. There was no doubt he knew his wines, he had a great sense of humor, and he was well received at each location as was our group. The scenery was breathtaking and the weather was perfect. An unexpected treat was seeing Kangaroos in a pasture during the morning hours just before the first winery. All of the foods and cheeses we tasted were on par with he exceptional wines. The tour turned out to be at the top of our “what did you like best about Australia” list. Sadly our Australia trip was cut short because of the Virus, and we had to return to the US way too soon, but we thoroughly enjoyed the 10 days we had in Australia starting with Melbourne, and Yarra Valley and Shane.
From Rob picking us up we had an amazing day.Rob was friendly, considerate and extremely informative. The vineyards themselves were extremely welcoming and set in amazing countryside. They didn’t rush the tours and answered many questions that day. The wine we bought there didn’t last too long once we got back to the hotel but was delicious. Rob’s efforts of going off track to find a wild Kangaroo was appreciated.
What can I say other than it was The Perfect Day! From the moment Paul picked us up till the moment he dropped us off we had the most fantastic time and learnt so so much about wine and the region. All the local businesses and vineyards had amazing staff and all excellent easy going personalities making it feel familiar rather than foreign as I have never been into the wine scene. We will definitely do this tour again and with Paul as he was a huge part as to why we enjoyed the day so much.
Joined the food and wine tour with my parents on 2 Dec 2015. Paul was so nice when I called him for a booking and we were very lucky to get the last three places! Confirmation and pick-up details were provided by email and text message afterwards. Stephen was our guide for the day and he was professional and friendly. Pick-up for the tour was on time. Stephen quickly learnt names of each guest (11 in total) and addressed everyone by name. He was very attentive to everyone’s interest and we had the most amazing winery tour ever! Each of the winery picked has its own character and speciality, from smaller to large-scale ones, a wide range of good quality wines were available for our tastings. Lunch was amazing at Yerring Station with excellent views and delicious dishes. We went to 5 wineries and the tour finished with yummy cheese tastings. Traffic was a bit crazy when we were back to the city after the tour but Stephen knows the road very well and dropped us off quickly. No wonder Vinetrekker is ranked #1! These guys are true pro! Definitely recommended to everyone who wants to experience high quality winery tour! Definitely worth the $!
We loved the tour. Paul was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable. Overall it was a fantastic tour and would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to do the Yarra valley wineries.
We were in town for a business meeting and took a day to relax.
Steve, our tour guide, took us to the Yarra Valley to visit some of the best boutique wineries we’ve visited with some amazing quality wines. Steve knows everyone and everything about the region and hearing his commentary as we traveled gave us a great perspective on why the region makes great wines. We typically go on these types of tours to learn about the region and, importantly, pick up a few cases to cellar. The tour didn’t disappoint.
We’ll definitely be back again some time to visit another region.
Great experience with Jospeh our guide. We did Healesville first, which is a must. So cool seeing the indigenous species in such a eco friendly environment. As sanctuaries and collections of animals go, they do such an incredible job with each species. Then Joseph took us to lunch and wineries. He couldn’t have been any kinder, funnier, and more knowledgeable. Such a great asset to the company. Last but not least, thanks to Paul for working with us. We were both fighting extremely rough allergies due to the foreign pollens in the air. We were back and forth on whether to go, and Paul allowed us some room to decide. So happy we did.
If you want to pair Healesville and wineries, definitely book Vinetrekker. Paul will take care of you, and maybe you’ll get lucky by getting Joseph!
What a great day we had wine, chocolate and cheese tasting! The cellars we stopped at were super friendly, the best were the small family run estates, it was an absolute pleasure to speak to the family members and hear their stories. And in the middle of the day a lovely lunch. Same standard was replicated in the cheese and chocolate stop offs, both local family owned, producing really high quality products. At no point did we ever feel rushed or pressured into buying (although we did buy plenty!)
Our host Joseph was a gentleman, he went above and beyond on a number of things including a local pick up and drop off and finding some wild kangaroos for us!
