Itinerary
An Early Start

The Yarra Valley is one of Australia’s most famous hot-air ballooning destinations, so get ready to generate some incredible memories.
Your day starts very early, pre-dawn when you depart your accommodation for the Yarra Valley. We will pick you up at your city hotel and escort you to the designated balloon-briefing site.
Get Ready to Fly

Get hands-on and assist with the balloon launch or freely enjoy capturing the experience through photos. And then, you’re airbound! You’ll silently drift above Yarra Glen, the vineyards and the meandering Yarra River. After flying for approximately 1 hour, you’ll descend to pack up the balloon before travelling through to Balgownie Estate Vineyard for a hearty champagne breakfast.
Coldstream Hills Vineyard Tasting

Coldstream Hills is a perfect location to kick off the first wine tasting of the day. Established by one of Australia’s leading authors and commentators on wine, James Halliday, you’ll be enthralled by their award-winning chardonnay and pinot noir.
Medhurst Vineyard Tasting

Established in 1999, the family-owned vineyard of 35 acres has a delightful elevation in the foothills of the Warramate Ranges and produces a small selection of elegant table wines. Enjoy another tasting of this family’s wonderful wines together with olives, local cheese and biscuits.
Domaine Chandon Sparkling

We then head to the very famous and very French Domaine Chandon. Enjoy a private tour through the Riddling Hall and hear about the production process before enjoying a glass of premium sparkling wine (methode champenoise) while taking in the glorious vista.
Yering Station Vineyard Lunch & Tasting

Yering Station is the site of Victoria’s first vineyard in 1838 and a terrific place to enjoy a memorable lunch. The modern Wine Bar Restaurant affords glorious views across farmland to the Great Dividing Range and here we’ll sit down for an a la carte main course meal in one of Australia’s most spectacular venues.
Post-lunch, adjourn to the historic red-brick building (c.1859) for wine-tasting. The original winery now houses a produce store, art gallery and cellar door.
De Bortoli Vineyard Wine & Cheese Flight

As Italian as Domaine Chandon is French, you’ll love this taste of Italian-Australian heritage. With 3 generations of family ownership, De Bortoli is also one of Victoria’s most-loved wineries. It’s a perfect way to finish the day, including a pairing of selected wines and cheeses.
Journey Home

There is just one thing for you to do – sit back and enjoy the ride as you savour your precious new memories. Passing through Steels Creek and Christmas Hills, just make sure to keep an eye out for the occasional kangaroo!
What Our Guests Have Said
Best in Melbourne for quality food and wine experiences. Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula and other locations. They choose very good wineries, lunch at Yering Station and very knowledgeable guides. Healesville Sanctuary is an option and this is self guided and easily done with the map whilst other people are doing the full winery tour.
Great experience. Our guide Paul was really passionate, knowledgeable and always made us feel really comfortable. We learned so much from him in just a few hours. You could tell that Paul is a kind and generous soul and has acquired long term relationship and connections with the people at the Yarra Valley, which made the experience even more special. […] We would not change anything about this tour and will definitely come back with friends.
